PARA LAS EMPRESAS DEDICADAS A LA FABRICACION DE CARTON CORRUGADOS.
Una de las formas mas eficaces para alcanzar la mayor eficiencia de la maquina corrugadora, reducir el desperdicio y optimizar el inventario de papel es la reduccion de anchos. El reto es determinar la medida exacta y precisa de cada ancho.
Para determinar la medida de cada ancho, es necesario analizar continuamente el ciclo de vida de los articulos de mayor consumo.
La cantidad de anchos se determina en funcion del nivel de control del proceso productivo del carton y de las condiciones de la maquinaria, es decir, es muy posible que se tenga que trabajar con la menor cantidad de trim o incluso trim cero, manejar diferentes anchos de papel, en menor grado se pueden generar tiras de trim con anchos mas grandes de lo normal (el ducto de succion de desperdicio debe ser tan amplio para absorver estos anchos de trim), etc. Dependiendo de esto, la cantidad de anchos puede reducirse en un rango de 3 a 6.
Salvo casos muy especificos, la reduccion de anchos no puede darse si se combinan ordenes de produccion de diferentes clientes, sin embargo, es comun que la programacion de la maquina corrugadora se base en seleccionar alternativas de combinacion ofrecidas por un sistema inteligente.
Suena dificil de aceptar algo que tiene tanto sentido comun: combinar ordenes de produccion incrementa el ancho utilizable de la corrugadora (muy cierto), reduce el desperdicio (muy cierto). incrementa la eficiencia de la corrugadora (totalmente de acuerdo), pero, cuanto impacta al inventario de papel la combinacion de ordenes ?, cuanto inventario de mas es necesario comprar para combinar ordenes?, que pasaria si se tiene que pasar por un periodo prolongado y critico de falta de papel ?. Romper los paradigmas, los esquemas tradicionales da resultados sorprendentes.
El cumplimiento del pronostico de ventas es por supuesto un factor importante en la reduccion de anchos de papel. Entre mayor sea el incumplimiento en el pronostico, mayor sera el riesgo de falta de papel, incremento del desperdicio y generacion de excedente de inventario (al mismo tiempo).
